Baihua River is a first-class tributary of the Guanlan River Basin in Shenzhen City. The length of its main stream in the Guangming section is 5.49 kilometers. Its water quality maintains surface level IV and could reach surface level II.
One of the reasons for Baihua River to maintain high standards of water quality is the "Baihua River Reservoir and Sewage Treatment Station" project. The Baihua Rainwater Storage Tank is jointly built with the sewage treatment plant. It has the functions of sewage treatment and initial rainwater storage. It is also the largest water storage tank in Guangming District's black and odor elimination project.

The Rainwater storage tank does not occupy the above-ground area and is fully enclosed underground. It mainly regulates and stores the initial rainwater intercepted by the interception main pipe along the river. The main structure of the sewage treatment station is built on the upper part of the storage tank. the A/RPIR process was adopt. The designed treatment scale is 15,000 tons/day, and the water volume change coefficient K=1.53.

It mainly processes municipal domestic sewage and primary rainwater pumped from the storage tank at staggered peaks. The effluent could reach quasi-Class IV standards and be transported to the upper reaches of Baihua River as ecological water supply. RPIR technology has high microbial concentration and its water change coefficient could reach more than 2 times.

In the case of limited land, the joint plant of the storage tank and sewage treatment plant was realized, and the construction cost of the transmission pipe network was also no longer constructed. The realization of high-quality water fully proves that the high-standard and high-flexibility "regulating tank + municipal sewage linkage treatment" is the solution to the problem of incomplete rainwater and sewage diversion in urban areas.

On the Baihua River, blue waves are rippling, white clouds set off the blue sky, flowers are dotted on the riverside, herons are flying melodiously on the river, and swimming fish are turning up white waves in the river. Have you heard the harmonious sounds from nature?
