Shenzhen Manhole Sewage Treatment Station Service Project
Processing scale:50,000 m³/d
Effluent standard: quasi-class IV
Project Introduction:
As the pipe network system of manhole sewage treatment plant is completed and put into operation, the quantity of sewage collected by the plant has increased significantly, resulting in a treatment gap of about 100,000 m³/d. The newly built intermediate sewage emergency treatment station shares the treatment capacity of 50,000 m³/d, which is equivalent to partially relieving the pressure of the phase-I project; and for the remaining 50,000 m³/d of treatment gap, a new emergency treatment station shall be built nearby to relieve the pressure of phase-II project. The manhole sewage emergency treatment station built against this background adopts the “A²/RPIR + denitrification deep bed filter” process, the treatment scale is 50000 m³/d, and the effluent quality follows the IV standard (TN≤10mg/L) in the Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water (GB 3838-2002).

Project Highlights:
1. The A²/RPIR process is used for the first time in a sewage emergency treatment station, replacing the aerobic section and secondary sedimentation tank of the A²/O process with RPIR, which not only saves space but also strengthens the nitrogen and phosphorus removal effect;
2. This project is the first sewage emergency treatment station having high standard total nitrogen emission requirements in Shenzhen, and the layout of structures in the plant is compact, with a total floor area of only 14084 m²;
