A Benchmark of Sewage Treatment Plant With Large Scale, High Standards, And Short Construction PeriodThe Shenzhen Dingshan River Estuary Water Quality Improvement Project

Have you ever pondered the significance of water quality and the role of sewage treatment in preserving it? The Shenzhen Dingshan River Estuary Water Quality Improvement Project is a sterling example of how these two elements meld to create a sustainable and healthier environment.

In the heart of Longgang District, a transformation took place. Prior to the project, all rainwater and sewage from the main stream and tributaries of the Longgang River were collected through intercepting manholes, then transported to the Henggang and Hengling water purification plants for treatment. As a stopgap measure against sewage overflow and to alleviate the pressure on the local sewage treatment plant, this project proposed the construction of a high-standard sewage treatment facility.

The facility, designed to handle a hundred thousand cubic meters of water per day, is the largest decentralized sewage treatment facility in the Longgang District. It's not just the size that sets it apart; it's the standard. The effluent - that's the outflowing water - meets the quasi-class four standards of the Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water. This high-standard tailwater is then directly supplied to the Longgang River mainstream, significantly enhancing the water environment quality of the main stream.

Another highlight is the remarkably short construction period. The core equipment of the RPIR process section adopts modular and standardized production, allowing for a swift forty-eight day turnaround from the entry of materials to the completion of equipment installation.

In the realm of sewage treatment, the Shenzhen Dingshan River Estuary Water Quality Improvement Project stands out. Its large scale, high standards, and short construction period set a new benchmark. But perhaps the most significant achievement is the impact on the Longgang River. The project not only increased the river's environmental capacity but also set the stage for future efforts in source control and separate treatment of rainwater and sewage in the basin.

In summary, the Shenzhen Dingshan River Estuary Water Quality Improvement Project is a testament to the power of innovation. It showcases how strategic planning, high standards, and modern technology can come together to improve water quality, enhance the environment, and pave the way for sustainable solutions. It's not just about treating sewage; it's about creating a future where our rivers thrive, our water is clean, and our environment is protected.
